Lessons From The Future

“Time is like a river made up of the events which happen, and a violent stream; for as soon as a thing has been seen, it is carried away, and another comes in its place, and this will be carried away too.” ― Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

I often catch my self thinking about the past.

The mistakes I have made and what I would have happened if someone had nudged me in another direction.

But what if you could turn this on its head?

What if me in 10 years from now could whisper in my ear with some advice?

What would they say?

Advice from 44 year old me, to 34 year old me (I'm currently 34).

1 - Don't worry so much. Worrying is like praying for what you don't want.

2 - Start writing that book.

3 - Don't be afraid to fail big. Fail forward.

4 - I told you those girls would grow up quick.

We cannot go back and change the past.

But we can think forward and change the future as we please, to live a more meaningful life.

What would you 10 years into the the future, say to you now?
